I have been thoroughly enjoying this time we have had as a family since Baker was born and Matt has had some parental leave. We've been able to hang out as a family as well as do some work around the house with some RealEstate money that just came in. I am happy, I love having my husband home to help with the kids and making suppers -- he has actually been doing so much that it is more like I am helping him. Anyways, these verses I read today seemed to speak directly to us and our current situation. 1 Corinthians 7:29-32 "Now let me say this, dear brothers and sisters: The time that remains is very short, so husbands should not let marriage be their major concern. Happiness or sadness or wealth should not keep anyone from doing God's work. Those in frequent contact with the things of the world should make good use of them without becoming attached to them, for this world and all it contains will pass away. In everything you do, I want you to be free from the concerns of this life."
So, although I'm happy and have 'things to do' I need to make sure they don't become a distraction from God's work, whatever it may be.
